Privacy Policy
This policy explains what personal data Super Beats collects when you use this website or book a session, how it's used, who it's shared with, and the rights you have over it under UK data protection law.
Who we are
This website (superbeats1.com) is operated by Super Beats, the recording studio and production business of Sheridan Bennett, based in Nottingham, United Kingdom. For any privacy question, or to exercise your rights, contact superbeats1@gmail.com. Super Beats is the "data controller" for the personal data described here.
What we collect
- Booking & enquiry details — when you book a session or get in touch, we collect your name, email address, phone number (if provided) and any notes you give us about your project.
- Payment information — payments are processed securely by Stripe. Your full card details are entered directly with Stripe and are never seen or stored by us; we only receive confirmation of payment and basic order details.
- Usage & device data — like most websites, we collect anonymous/pseudonymous data about how the site is used (pages visited, device and browser type, approximate location) through cookies and similar technologies.
How we use your data
- To arrange, confirm and deliver your studio sessions and services (lawful basis: performance of a contract).
- To respond to your enquiries and communicate with you about your booking (contract / legitimate interests).
- To take and manage payments (contract / legal obligation for accounting records).
- To understand and improve how the website performs, and to measure our marketing (consent, for non-essential cookies; legitimate interests otherwise).
Cookies & tracking
This site uses cookies and similar technologies, including:
- Google Analytics (GA4) — to understand how visitors use the site so we can improve it. See Google's privacy policy.
- Meta Pixel — to measure and improve our advertising on Facebook and Instagram. See Meta's privacy policy.
You can control or block cookies through your browser settings, and opt out of Google Analytics using the Google Analytics opt-out add-on. Blocking cookies won't stop you booking a session.
You can also change your cookie preferences here at any time.
Who we share it with
We don't sell your personal data. We share it only with trusted service providers who help us run the business, and only as needed:
- Stripe — payment processing
- Vercel — website hosting
- Google — website analytics
- Meta (Facebook/Instagram) — advertising measurement
- Email & calendar providers — to communicate with you and schedule sessions
Some of these providers are based outside the UK; where that's the case, appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) are in place to protect your data.
How long we keep it
We keep booking and enquiry data only for as long as needed to provide our services and maintain our records, and payment/accounting records for as long as required by UK tax law (generally six years). Analytics data is retained according to the providers' standard periods.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict the use of your personal data, to object to certain processing, and to data portability. To exercise any of these, email superbeats1@gmail.com and we'll respond within one month.
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the UK's Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
Third-party links
This site may link to other websites (for example social media or partner sites). We're not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites — please check their own policies.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with a revised "last updated" date.
